Prints

All of our finished photographs are edited and printed on professional archival photographic paper.

Photos for Facebook – any photos ordered (wallet size or larger) will be given free of charge to use for Facebook with copyright watermark.
Reprints of additional photographs for orders originally made within 30 days will still honor the 30 day price list.

We can custom print any size photograph and will charge the next standard size print cost (for instance an 8 x 8” photographed will be charged the same as an 8 x 10”.)

50% of the total is due upon placing the order, and 50% is due upon receiving the final photographs.

Photographs may be mounted and sprayed for an additional $15 per print.

A donation of 10% of all print orders will go to the Decatur Area Arts Council.
Pricing is subject to change at any time, and clients will be notified prior to sitting.

Prices for finished prints range from $35 for 5×7 up to $180 for 20×24.

We offer a variety framing and presentation products in addition to prints, such as gallery canvas wraps, stand-out block finished photos, mini accordian books, photo albums and lockets.

Any purchased photo is given free of charge for Facebook, with the copyright watermark present.

Graduation announcement, invitations, mini photo books and book marks are available for an additional charge.

Rule #1 – Have Fun!!!

We want to make the experience positive, so be ready to dance, tell stories, play air guitar, have a tea party and play with the Sock Monkeys. If all the fun gets to be too much, feel free to take a break and have a snack. We promise to give you as much time as you need.

Rule #2 – Be Yourself and Everyone Will Love You!

Come in comfortable everyday, clothes that showcase your personality. You might want to wear your bathing suit and sunglasses, a ballerina tutu, the latest fashion trend or a favorite team shirt. We’re happy to work with whatever works for you.

Rule #3 – Call Us To Arrange Your Play Date!

Call (217) 620 – 7851 to book an appointment. When scheduling, we will request information about your baby, child or teen, and will also find out what you hope to accomplish during the photo shoot. We’ll then send you a confirmation package with our fee structure. We like to meet with senior clients and parents a few weeks before the shoot to select locations, settings, and clothing.

We do ask that you pay for the sitting fee up front ($100 children and families/$150 seniors). After the play date, we will book a second get-together to view the proofs. We will then give you and your friends and family 30 days to view your proofs on-line. We require 50% payment at the time your order is placed, and the remainder of the fee is due upon fulfillment. We will deliver your beautifully finished photographs within four weeks. Feel free to book regular play dates to ensure that you document your son or daughter’s childhood as it unfolds! You will cherish the captured memories forever.

High school senior clients typically like to select three to four outdoor locations, mixed with a studio session.  We like to meet with seniors and their parents prior to the shoot to pick locations and settings that will capture individual interests, personality and talents.

For the young and young at heart, Child’s Play Photography is Kathy’s life inspiration, and her passion is preserving the memories of little everyday pleasures of those we treasure. From newborns to seniors, Kathy delights in photographing her subjects in their natural spirit.

She does not believe in making children sit still, turn at the shoulders and tilt their heads when posing for a portrait. Instead, she encourages them to do what they enjoy doing to bring out their true personalities as she captures the special moments that define the individual child. Likewise, Kathy adores working with high school seniors to select unique locations and settings that highlight their individual personalities and interests.

Kathy was originally trained in black and white film photography, and appreciates the fine art quality of classic black and white portraits. Yet she is drawn to the vibrant splashes of color or subtle hues that highlight her clients’ personalities. With high tech digital equipment and the development of superior professional photo papers, Kathy is able to capture both color and black and white images at the highest standard.
