Jake, Class of 2020

Who is that?  It’s Jake… you know, Jake from State….. no, no, no… this is no average Jake, although in some circles he might be as famous as Jake from State Farm. I want to call him Super Jake, but that would embarrass this very kind and humble guy.  Nonetheless, I am going to brag a little about Jake.  He is Co-Valedictorian of his class at Mt. Zion HS, with a 4.7 GPA!  He is an Illinois State Scholar, and a Hickory Point Scholar.  He’s a double lettermen in two sports: soccer and track.  He played soccer at MTZ 4 years, team captain 2 years, all conference player award, and all-area first team player award. Jake ran track at MTZ 4 years, was distance leader 2 years, all conference award winner, sectional champs, and state participant.  Who knows what would have happened this year at state if the track season would have happened. There is a long list of clubs and organizations that Jake participated in at school. I think you could easily say that Jake made the MOST of his high school years.  Keep watching, because lucky Millikin University has recruited this guy to play both soccer and run track!  I am sure his family is happy to have him nearby to watch him participate in both sports.  Jake is the oldest of five incredible children (I am excited to photograph his sister who is a rising senior) and the sweetest family you will ever meet.  He has the complete foundation to build a super great future.  I look forward to watching what happened four, five, ten years down the road.  Godspeed Jake!
