Margo, Mt Zion HS 2017

Margo is a true romantic.  She might have been born 50 years late because she loves the charm, sweetness and simplicity of life half a century ago (me too).  For part of her senior session we traveled to Flesor’s Candy Kitchen in Tuscola, IL. The vintage ice cream parlor and candy store was the perfect backdrop for our stylized shoot.  She wore a 1950s style party dress, as well as a remake of the two piece pink petal pushers Ann Margaret wore in Bye Bye Birdie. (Her talented grandma made it!!!!!).  Then we ventured back to her home for more photographs on a gorgeous rope swing that her father had created. With Margo’s infatuation with an era gone by it’s not a surprise that she’s a history buff.  She wanted to hold a vintage newpaper in one photo from the day JFK was shot.  She also took me to a trail near her home for more photos know as the “Paris to Springfield Road” where that Lincoln had traveled.  This interesting and charming young lady is as comfortable on stage as she is infront of the camera.  She has participated in the national award winning Swingsations show choir,  and was selected to be part of the Illinois ACDA All-State show choir. In March of 2017, her quartet, Stirrin’ Up Treble, competed at the state level competition and won, making them Illinois state champions!  Margo will attend University of Illinois next year  to study Speech-Language Pathology.  There’s no doubt she will make the most of her college experience as she does everything!  Good luck Margo.
